Description

This 18 karat yellow gold hinged bangle is oval in appearance and sits beautifully on the wrist. The piece has been crafted as an oval not only to sit nicely on the wrist, but also for strength, as the oval shape is often seen as stronger than round. The bangle has also been hollowed out to give the piece extra strength and whilst it remains a very heavy piece, it is not overbearing on the arm. The bangle features a tongue and box clasp and a figure of 8 safety catch which are both working well and are secure. Whilst the piece is only marked for its gold purity it is likely it would originate in Italy during the second half of the 20th Century.
