If you're after a bright and bold brooch to go on a summery dress this might be the perfect option. Crafted by Tiffany & Company from 18 karat yellow gold the pin has been cast and hand finished before being set with diamonds, coral and turquoise. It's very likely the piece was manufactured during the 1970s, with it displaying the modernist and brutalist elements the period was known for. Set within the brooch are 26 round brilliant cut diamonds which are each of G/H colour and SI-I1 clarity totalling 1.82 carat. These diamonds have been accented with peg set cabochon drops of red coral and fine blue turquoise resulting in the brightest and most vivid colour combination. To the rear the brooch has a hinged double pin with a roller catch and also features two pendant loops allowing it to be worn as a necklace with the addition of a fine gold chain. Fully signed for manufacture by Tiffany & Co, it is possible this piece is a one off creation and the only example in the world. There is evidence to the rear that some of the cabochon coral have been slightly damaged at some stage in the life of the piece, but have been expertly repaired and front on no damage or restoration is visible. This is undoubtedly one of the nicest cocktail brooches that we have in our collection to date, and we can't wait to meet its future owner.
