This four piece teaset has been crafted from sterling silver in England during the Art Deco period. The set comprises a coffee pot, a teapot, sugar and creamer which have been monogrammed with a 'C' to the centre front. The set is hallmarked for manufacture by H Pidduck & Sons who manufactured the four pieces in 1938, on the eve of World War II. The finials and handles of the coffee pot and teapot are carved from sperm whale and further compliment the already Art Deco designed silver bodies. The set presents with some minor abrasions and dings, which are commensurate with age and use. A delightful Art Deco teaset which is perfect for regular use in the 21st Century.
