An early 20th-Century silver page-turner with a horse head, acorn, and leaf motif handle. The piece is hallmarked 'STERLING' and '935' which is interesting as 'sterling silver' has a purity of 925/1000 parts solid silver. The purity '935' is most widely used in Austria and Germany and therefore we place its manufacture to either of these countries in the first quarter of the 20th-Century. A beautiful object for a fine desk or a lovely gift for someone who adores antiquarian books.
