This delightful Victorian ring is what is usually referred to as a 'bridge ring'. The 18 karat gold mount has been cast and hand finished when it was set with five old mine cut diamonds. The central old mine cut diamond is of H colour and SI1 clarity and weighs approximately 0.66 carat. This central diamond is flanked by a further four old mine cut diamonds which are of H colour and VS1 clarity. In total the ring presents a combined diamond weight of 1.56 carat. Bridge rings were a very popular design in the Victorian period and this example is beautifully made and presents well. A really lovely diamond ring which could be used as an engagement ring and would sit well with a plain gold wedding band.
