A bronze sculpture of the Goddess Diana with a child and hunting dog attributed to French sculptor Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse (1824-1887), one of the founding members of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. The subject is perched on a rock, leaning on her bow, dressed in boar skin with a quiver of arrows on her back. The bronze is beautifully rendered with a subtle patination. There is a small crack in the base, at the back.
