A small, hand-wrought, sterling silver, Arts & Crafts era bowl by English silversmith Albert Edward Jones (1878-1954). The bowl which is minimal in its decoration sits atop of three sterling silver ball feet and features a rim of silver buttons. The bowl was retailed by Payne & Son in their 131 High Street, Oxford shop where the family businesses’ 8th generation are still trading today. The piece is hallmarked to the top rim for manufacture in Birmingham in 1908 and marked to the underside 'PAYNE OXFORD'. A gorgeous example of English Arts & Crafts silver.
