This pair of Mid-Century ear clips were crafted from 14 karat yellow gold and are a design by American jeweller, George Schuler. The pair are in the form of clip-on earrings, so are suitable regardless of whether you have pierced or unpierced ears. The ruffled gold forms petals which centre on a plain gold sphere that acts as the centre of the flower. To the rear are a pair of 14 karat gold clip fittings which have a patent mark and also the symbol for George Schuler. A maker for Tiffany and Company and Cartier, Schuler was known for creating jewellery with ribbed and fanned elements in gold, which were often later hallmarked for retail by the luxury firms. This pair of ear clips are without a retailer's mark, but are nonetheless of the same quality and would be a wonderful staple in an earring wardrobe.
