A carved ivory putti trio and silver desk seal from France circa 1880. The crest of the seal has inscribed in Latin 'Fidele et Sacret' translating to 'Faithful & Sacred' along with AD 1500. The family this crest is associated with is unidentified. A near identical seal sold through Christies in 2012 with a slightly different 'gilt' seal to the bottom, otherwise identical.

Condition: Excellent antique condition. Silver tarnish has been untouched. Some stable hairline splits in the ivory which can usually be expected with ivory of this age.
