A striking platinum, diamond and Columbian emerald ring from the 1930s. The ring is entirely handmade from platinum and features to the centre a four claw set octagonal cut good green Columbian emerald weighing 2.75 carat. On each shoulder of this central stone sits four single cut diamonds of H/I colour and SI clarity, framing the emerald nicely and totalling 0.24 carat. Whilst the ring is unmarked, it tests as platinum and due to its construction and the materials used, can be confidently dated to the Art Deco period, very likely the 1930s.
