This boxed set of silver swizzle sticks were made in Japan during the mid 20th Century. Crafted from 950/1000 parts pure silver, the retractable 'swizzle' sticks each have a figural finial and were likely manufactured in the 1950s. Swizzle sticks are used for stirring cocktails and also champagne and were exceedingly popular from the Art Deco period through to the sixties and seventies. This boxed set have a curious label to the rear, 'Of Non Communist Origin Made in Japan' which is an interesting relic of the Cold War. The set are in very good order with few signs of use. A really beautiful gift for someone who likes fine things, or a nice gift to self for a home bar!
