mechanisms, and the character of stones and their settings. For gold pieces, metal testing confirms purity where hallmarks
are worn or absent. The period of a piece is assessed through a combination of construction method, design vocabulary, and material analysis.

Many are, particularly solid gold bangles and bracelets with robust link constructions. More delicate pieces — fine chain bracelets, those with open enamel work, or pieces with pavé stone settings — benefit from occasional rather than daily wear. We will advise on the wearability of every piece before purchase.

Bangles with no clasp are typically fixed in size, though some can be carefully adjusted by a specialist. Clasp-fastening bracelets can often be extended or reduced by adding or removing links, depending on the construction. We will advise on what is possible and appropriate for any specific piece.

Store bracelets individually or in separate compartments to prevent scratching. For gold pieces, a soft polishing cloth is usually sufficient for regular care.
