An Antique 9kt Gold Fob Chain

This 9 karat yellow gold fob chain was crafted in England in the first quarter of the 20th century. The curb link chain is graduated to both sides and terminates to the centre front with an attached 'T Bar'. Nearly every link of this fob chain is hallmarked for 9 karat gold and the maker, The Albion Chain Company, who operated in Birmingham, England. Unfortunately the piece is not hallmarked for the year of manufacture, however the particular hallmark for the maker helps us date its manufacture to the 1920s. To the rear the necklace features two dog clip clasps which are both working well and are secure. A really nice example of a versatile English fob chain which could be layered with several other necklaces, or have fobs attached for a more unique look.

Marked - '9' & '.375' both for gold purity along with an anchor for Birmingham manufacture and 'ACCo' for the maker
