Sterling Silver Four Piece Tea and Coffee Service by Tiffany & Company

This four piece tea and coffee set was made by the American jewellery and silversmithing firm Tiffany & Company. The service comprises a coffee pot, a teapot, lidded sugar pot and a creamer, all crafted from sterling silver with ivory 'insulators' to the handles. The set has been monogrammed to one side which appears to be 'BBC' in a very ornate script. The lids to the teapot, coffee pot and sugar pot feature melon shaped finials adding some detail to the otherwise very simple pieces. The set features Tiffany markings which date its manufacture between 1902 and 1907 under the directorship of Charles Cook, though the design was introduced in 1891. The set has been frequently enjoyed and is in good condition showing signs of age in the form of slight knocks, abrasions and slight splitting to one handle which is shown in the images, all commensurate with age and use.

Marked - Tiffany & Company sterling hallmarks for manufacture between 1902-1907.
